Le pays est l’un des derniers à apprendre que le bitcoin est conçu pour offrir une liberté monétaire et une indépendance vis-à-vis de tiers et d’institutions financières traditionnelles qui invoquent beaucoup trop de règles pour ceux qui cherchent à ne pas être touchés et corrompus par le système.

À ce jour, le mouvement a recueilli près de 400 000 dollars de dons de bitcoin à la fin du mois d’octobre. Flera projekt som renBTC, imBTC, HBTC, TBTC, pBTC och sBTC sätter BTC på det näst största nätverket. Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) dominerar denna tillväxt genom att stå för 73,6% av BTC på Ethereum.

105132 WBTC värt 1,2 miljarder dollar har hittills präglats, vilket har ökat hela 9,380% sedan början av 2020.

Med detta har WBTC hoppat förbi liknande Yearn.Finance, Synthetix, Compound, Curve Finance och Aave för att bli det tredje största DeFi-projektet.

Uniswap , med ett rekord på 2,73 miljarder dollar i totalt låst värde (TVL) och dominans på 24,12%, och Maker med nästan 2 miljarder dollar låsta kryptofonder är de enda större än Wrapped Bitcoin.

WBTC är ett av de snabbast växande DeFi-projekten, ungefär som den övergripande sektorn, som når nya toppar på 11,4 miljarder dollar i TVL

Intressant nog, igår präglades den största WBTC på en enda dag av CoinList. Denna största mynta på 5000 WBTC gjordes i två separata transaktioner – den första involverade 1 299,48 WBTC medan den andra transaktionen involverade 3 697,5 WBTC.

Denna rekord bryter den sista som gjordes av FTX-koncernchef Sam Bakman-Friedts kryptohandelsföretag Almeda Research som höjde det tidigare rekordet med 2316,5 WBTC.

WBTC är en ERC-20-token som stöds av bitcoin i förhållandet 1: 1, där BTC hålls i förvar för BitGo.

Med detta kan DeFi-användare delta i olika applikationer utan att faktiskt använda sin Bitcoin. Det leder vidare till Bitcoins enorma likviditet, med en marknad på 210 miljarder dollar, till Ethereum-nätverket på 42 miljarder dollar.

Efterfrågan på WBTC fortsätter att öka, vilket ses i dess tillväxt eftersom detta gör det möjligt för Bitcoin-innehavare att delta i spännande DeFi-appar som avkastningsjordbruk och tjäna intäkter på sin BTC utan att ge upp det.
